  2. Good article, but it seems there should be a follow up.

    I still don’t know how the average DIY investor can take a position in commodities?

    Crude Oil, Softs, industrial metals, etc. ETFs seem to be inadequate vehicles because of contango and other issues you have previously posted. The broad commodity ETFs like DBC are likely to have undesirable weightings.

  3. thanks tomk, I think there is other content at HAI that addresses you question. Contango though is an obstacle in certain markets that product makers don’t seem to solved yet.
